Event Description
John Hatherly is an avid cyclist an recently turned 50. As a surprise for his 50th, his wife honored him with a bike ride in his honor. The Hatherly's have a home in Waupaca and wanted to share this ride with the community. Multiple distance rides are available for all to enjoy. In addition the event will provide scholarships to two graduating Waupaca High School seniors..
There are four distances all beginning from Waupaca High School. Distances include 12, 20, 50 and 100 miles. The 100 mile course will be two loops of the 50 mile distance. If you wish, combine the 50 mile loop with an additional 12 or 20 mile loop to create a 62 or 70 mile ride as well.
There will be a two rest stop locations. The first will be at high school. Riders will pass this rest stop at mile mile 20 and again at mile 50. In addition, there will be a rest stop at mile 32. 100 mile riders will also see this rest stop at mile 82.
As this is a charity ride, the course will be open to traffic the entire way and each participant is responsible for their own safety.
