2008 Events

Hawthorn Woods 5k/10k - June 22, 2008

The inaugural Hawthorn Woods 5k/10k to be held on June 22, 2008 will be a great way to kick off the summer. The event will be held at Heritage Oaks Park and the out and back course will exit the park and wind though a beautiful subdivision in Hawthorn Woods. 5k competitors will complete one loop while 10k participants will get to enjoy the course for two full loops. Please look for registration to open by mid-February. The race will be capped at 800 total participants.

Bat Cave 8k @ Lakewood Forest Preserve - August 17, 2008

This will be the inaugural Bat Cave 8k run to be held exclusively within the Lakewood Forest Preserve near Wauconda. We will be raising money for The V Foundation for Cancer Research (more details on the event page). Because the course is 100% contained within the preserve, there will be no open open roads or vehicles to be concerned with. In addition to the 8k run, we will also be having a FREE 1/4 mile (or so) kids fun run.

Bangs Lake Summer Splash - July 19 2009

After looking at the calendar, we determined this event would best be suited for the 2009 season. We want to ensure a top notch event, so it is the best interest of everyone to wait and ensure it is done right for the competitors. Look for more to come later in the year.

Chasing the Holidays 5k Run/Walk - December 2009

Details to come, but be prepared to run down the holidays to get a prize. Pancake breakfast being planned as well.
